Parents of Gifted and Distractible kids: Are these statements relatable?
- You feel like you’re in uncharted territory
- You can’t parent your gifted and distractible child the same way you were parented, or how others are parenting their kids.
- At times your child does and says incredibly astute things but then can’t seem to accomplish simple tasks.
- You often receive conflicting advice on what to do for your child – and it’s all about focusing on your child’s deficits.
- You feel powerless during moments of heightened anxiety, meltdowns, or struggles with perfectionism.
- It’s exhausting constantly searching for answers in a system that doesn’t understand twice-exceptional kids.
- You’re lonely and feel isolated because no one seems to fully grasp the challenges you’re facing.

The G&D Course and Community is designed to provide clarity where there’s confusion, actionable strategies where there’s uncertainty, and a sense of common experiences where there’s isolation.

Unfortunately, no. The Course is also a Community and we will be building relationships based on our shared experiences. To keep the course safe and relevant we will only allow parents in who join during the registration period.
Absolutely not! But you do need to purchase the book as it will serve as your guide and give you context to the course. The live meetings discuss the topics, the webinars provide context for the meetings, and the book helps to understand the webinars. But, if you find yourself in a particularly busy week (what 2e parent doesn’t?) don’t worry – the webinars will walk you through and the workbook will keep you on task.
Yes. There are several places you can find the book in paperback, audio, or e-book. You can find them all listed here
Absolutely not! The course context is so relatable to all parents of 2e kids that you’ll be able to engage without watching every webinar. Of course, those who read the book and watch the webinars will likely get the most out of the course.
Yes. All participants must parent at least one gifted and distractible child.
No. Parents of all aged children are welcome, though most discussions will be geared toward parents of children under 21.
The G&D Course and Community is a one-time registration fee of $397.
The G&D Workbook is included in the course! This Workbook allows you to follow along the webinars with various exercises and prompts to make your participation even more meaningful and to help you remember what you learn for years to come.
